On 04/11/2019 an international AUDITOR-Workshop took place in Brussels with the participation of about 30 participants. The workshop was attended by participants from various institutions (in particular data protection authorities and accreditation bodies) and countries (e.g. Spain, Italy, Greece, France, Norway, Bulgaria, etc.).
Pierre Chastanet (DG Connect, EU Commission) described in a welcome speech the European view on the current situation regarding certifications in the cloud market and clearly described AUDITOR as a groundbreaking project which the EU Commission will continue to pursue with great interest. Subsequently, the participants were informed about AUDITOR in general and the current status and results.
The workshop showed that AUDITOR is experiencing great interest at the European level and that other countries are intensively following the work already completed and future steps. The workshop forms the basis for a future cooperation between the AUDITOR consortium and the representatives of other EU countries.
